Join Patrick for two weekends and a five day workshop at bear creek of creating community, sharing, drumming, praying and learning the art of drum and rattle making. The workshop held in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge in Carson, Washington. Extend your trip to enjoy the surrounding attractions including waterfalls, hiking old growth forests and soaking in the hot mineral springs at Carson Hot Springs…and get a massage!. All aspects of drum making and drumming will be experienced in circles, classes and the sharing of food together. We have camping spots all along our creek as well as toilet, kitchen and common areas to share. Heartspace is an amazing place to create a drum, rattle, learn its use and use them and to heal your heart and souls.
Leave the technology behind and join in rhythms of nature by the songs of bear creek. Limited to the first twelve who sign up. You will leave with a 14-15″ drum and medium rattle. Patrick is a storyteller and weaves breath, movement and song in creating a drum and rattle with grace and ease. Friday night drumming and talking circle, Saturday/Sunday drum and rattle making – if time, make a “Grandmother Drum” Weekends July 15, 16 and 17th, August 5, 6 and 7th and a five day with co-creating a “grandmother drum” together, Aug. 25-29th $750 fee.
